Using Payment Requests with Buyer Protection: A Guide

Updated over 5 months ago

Airsoft Bazaar is committed to bringing buyers and sellers together in a safe and responsible manner. Payment requests with Buyer Protection cannot be missing from this. With buyer protection, you are assured of a safer purchase or sale.

How does buyer protection work?

Do you want to buy a product listed on Airsoft Bazaar? Then do this via Payment Requests with Buyer Protection. Payment requests can easily be initiated via the messaging inbox once an agreement has been reached.

You transfer the money via, among other things, Klarna (direct debit) or credit card to an intermediary account managed by an external party (Stripe) with a banking license from the Dutch bank on behalf of Airsoft Bazaar.

Your money is held in this intermediary account. If the buyer indicates that they have received the package, the money is transferred to the seller.

What does buyer protection cost?

Buyer protection charges a service fee of €2.00 per purchase plus a percentage of the total amount. The percentage applied depends on the type of account. The standard percentage is 7.5%, while for Plus or Pro accounts, the percentage is 6%.

Here is an example calculation:

The product costs €100.00.

7,5% of €100.00 is €7.50 + €2.00 service fee. In total, this is €9.50 added value.

The buyer pays €100.00 + €9.50 = €109.50.
